Vira Shield Vaccines contain the superior Xtend adjuvant for maximum duration and amplitude to antigenic stimulation. University studies have shown 12 month immune stimulation along with 11 month protection against the deadly Type 2 BVD strain 890. Also have BVD Type 1 and 2.

Directions:

Shake well before use. Administer a 5 mL dose subcutaneously (under the skin) in the neck of healthy cattle 2 to 4 weeks before breeding, following Beef Quality Assurance guidelines. Revaccinate with Vira Shield 6, 4 to 5 weeks later. Annual revaccination is recommended.

Pregnancy Safety: Safe for use in pregnant cows at any stage of gestation and in calves nursing pregnant cows.

• 50 mL vial: 10 doses
• 250 mL vial: 50 doses

Storage:

Store at 2–8°C (35–46°F), away from direct sunlight. Do not freeze.

Cautions and Warnings:

• Use the entire contents of the vial when first opened.
• Do not mix with other products unless specified on the product label.
• Do not vaccinate cattle within 60 days before slaughter.
• Transient swelling may occur at the injection site.
• Lactating dairy cows may experience a temporary reduction in milk production and depression lasting 3 to 6 days after vaccination.
• Anaphylactic reactions may occur. Epinephrine may be used for symptomatic treatment as directed by a veterinarian.
• In case of human exposure, contact a physician.
