Vira Shield® 6 + L5 HB is a combination inactivated viral and bacterial vaccine for healthy cattle, including pregnant cows and heifers. It helps protect against major respiratory and reproductive diseases caused by IBR, BVD Types 1 and 2, PI3, BRSV and five *Leptospira* serovars. Its three BVD isolates include noncytopathic (NCP) Types 1 and 2 and cytopathic (CP) Type 1. The vaccine also includes *Leptospira hardjo-bovis*, with demonstrated effects against kidney colonization, urinary shedding and reproductive tract infection.

Directions:

Shake well before use. Administer 5 mL subcutaneously (SQ), preferably in the neck in accordance with Beef Quality Assurance guidelines. Do not mix with other products except as specified on the label.

Dosage & Vaccination Schedule:

• Initial Series: Administer one 5 mL dose, followed by a second 5 mL dose 4–5 weeks later.
• Dairy cows: Vaccinate at dry-off.
• Revaccination: Annual revaccination with one dose is recommended; consult your veterinarian regarding ongoing vaccination needs.
• Calves: Maternal antibodies may interfere with active immunity. Additional boosters will be needed in most young animals.

• 10 Doses: 50 mL vial.
• 50 Doses: 250 mL vial.

Withdrawal Period:

Do not vaccinate within 60 days before slaughter.

Precautions:

• For vaccination of healthy cattle, including pregnant cows and heifers.
• Use entire contents when first opened.
• In case of human exposure, contact a physician.

Storage:

Store at 35–46°F (2–8°C), protected from direct sunlight. Do not freeze.
