Mixing Directions – Calves
Measure 350 grams (2 level-full scoops) of Ultra Start® 150 powder. Add to 1½ quarts of warm water (110°F–120°F) and mix thoroughly until dissolved. Allow solution to cool to 100°F–105°F before feeding.
Mixing Directions – Goat Kids
Measure 56.6 grams (fill scoop to 6 oz line) of powder. Add to 7 ounces of warm water (110°F–120°F) and mix thoroughly until dissolved. Allow solution to cool to 100°F–105°F before feeding.
Feeding Directions
Calves: Feed the entire solution as soon as possible after birth, preferably within 2 hours. Begin milk replacer feeding 6–12 hours later.
Goat Kids: Feed the entire solution as soon as possible after birth, preferably within 2 hours. Begin milk replacer feeding 4–6 hours later.
For best results, bottle-feed Ultra Start® 150. Use an esophageal feeder only if necessary to ensure consumption.
