Decent alternative for the higher priced options

Tried several different hackamores for a beetle to a little s and didn’t really like either of them. The shank is a little shorter than maybe it ideal but has been working fine on my quarter horse so far

Disappointed

I bought this as a value alternative to buying a Jim Warner hack. Its for a Peewee so thought an offbrand would be ok. The rope is 1 1/2" shorter than a JW. Its like pony or cob size. I should have known better.
