Rx ToDAY (Cephapirin Sodium) One-Day Treatment for Lactating Cows

ToDAY is a fast-acting, one-day intramammary antibiotic treatment designed for use in lactating dairy cows at the first signs of mastitis. Formulated with cephapirin sodium, a cephalosporin antimicrobial, ToDAY provides broad-spectrum bactericidal activity against common mastitis-causing organisms, including penicillin-resistant strains.

Features:

  • One-day mastitis treatment administered in two doses 12 hours apart
  • Contains cephapirin sodium, a cephalosporin antimicrobial
  • Effective against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria
  • Especially effective against Streptococcus agalactiae and Staphylococcus aureus
  • Each 10 mL syringe delivers 200 mg of cephapirin activity
  • Opti-Sert® protective cap allows for partial or full teat insertion
  • Ready-to-use, disposable syringes for convenient administration

Directions:

Infuse the entire contents of one 10 mL syringe into each infected quarter immediately after milking. Repeat treatment once after 12 hours. Do not milk out for 12 hours following infusion. If improvement is not observed within 48 hours, further diagnosis and veterinary consultation are recommended.

Before infusion, milk out the udder completely. Wash teats thoroughly using warm water and a suitable dairy antiseptic, then dry with individual paper towels. Scrub each teat end with a separate 70% alcohol swab and allow to dry before infusion.

For partial insertion, twist off the upper portion of the Opti-Sert® protective cap to expose 3–4 mm of the syringe tip. For full insertion, remove the cap completely. Insert the syringe tip into the teat canal, expel the full contents, withdraw the syringe, and gently massage the quarter to distribute the medication.

Ingredients:

Each 10 mL syringe contains 200 mg of cephapirin activity as cephapirin sodium in a stable peanut oil gel base.

Withdrawal Information:

Milk withholding period: 96 hours after the last treatment.
Slaughter withdrawal: 4 days after the last treatment.

Packaging:

Available in boxes containing 12 disposable 10 mL syringes with 12 single-use alcohol pads.
