Rx Methimazole

As cats reach their middle and older ages, they may develop hyperthyroidism. This is an increase in metabolic rate caused by an excessive increase of thyroid hormones. Rx Methimazole is a tablet medication for cats designed to counter hyperthyroidism and it's symptoms by preventing the development of excessive T3 and T4 hormones, therefore reducing their metabolic rate to a steadier level. Symptoms include weight loss, excessive thirst and urination, diarrhea, shedding, and/or hyperactivity.
