LUTALYSE® HighCon Injection (dinoprost tromethamine) is a high-concentration prostaglandin solution designed specifically for cattle. Widely prescribed by veterinarians and used by producers, it supports estrous synchronization, reproductive management, and therapeutic interventions in dairy and beef cattle.

This concentrated formulation allows a convenient 2 mL dose, providing flexibility and efficiency in herd reproductive programs. LUTALYSE® HighCon is compatible with synchronization protocols using FACTREL® Injection (gonadorelin) or EAZI-BREED™ CIDR® Cattle Inserts, helping improve pregnancy rates, reduce heat detection time, and optimize labor and herd management.

Indications:

• Estrous synchronization in lactating dairy cows and dairy heifers.
• Treatment of pyometra or chronic endometritis.

• Induced abortion in dairy cows or dairy heifers (when desired).

Directions for Use:

• Estrous Synchronization: Administer 2 mL SC or IM once or twice at 10–12 day intervals as part of a synchronization protocol. When combined with FACTREL® Injection, fixed-time artificial insemination (FTAI) can be scheduled efficiently without intensive heat detection.
• Silent Estrus: Inject 2 mL SC or IM. If estrus is not observed by 80 hours post-injection, breed at 80 hours; otherwise, breed according to estrus detection.
• Postpartum Pyometra: Inject 2 mL SC or IM when a CL is present and the uterus contains fluid without a conceptus, as determined by palpation.

Active Ingredient:

Dinoprost Tromethamine (12.5 mg/mL) – a naturally occurring prostaglandin F2 alpha.

Important Safety Information:

• Women of childbearing age and persons with respiratory problems should exercise extreme caution when handling LUTALYSE or LUTALYSE HighCon.
• The product is readily absorbed through the skin and may cause abortion and/or bronchospasms. Spillage on the skin should be washed off immediately with soap and water.
• Aseptic technique is required to reduce the possibility of post-injection clostridial infections.
• Do not administer LUTALYSE or LUTALYSE HighCon in pregnant cattle unless cessation of pregnancy is desired.
