Rx Epinephrine Injection

This medication is used in emergencies to treat very serious allergic reactions to insect stings/bites, foods, drugs, or other substances. Epinephrine acts quickly to improve breathing, stimulate the heart, raise a dropping blood pressure, reverse hives, and reduce swelling of the face, lips, and throat. For cattle, horse, sheep, and swine.

Dosage and Administration:

For dogs and cats: 0.1 and 0.5 mL injected intramuscularly or subcutaneously.
For cattle, horses, sheep and swine: 1 mL per 100 lbs of body weight injected intramuscularly or subcutaneously.

Composition:

Each mL of sterile aqueous solution contains:

Epinephrine...................................1 mg
Sodium Chloride..........................0.1%
Benzyl Alcohol..............................1.5%
Disodium Edetate, Sodium Metabisulfite, Hydrochloric Acid, and Water for Injection.

Storage:

Store at controlled room temperature between 15° and 30° C (59°F to 86°F). Protect from light.
