Credelio® (Lotilaner) Flea & Tick Chewable Tablets for Dogs

Credelio® (lotilaner) is a monthly oral flea and tick treatment for dogs and puppies 8 weeks of age and older weighing at least 4.4 lbs. It kills adult fleas and treats and controls infestations of several common tick species for one month. Credelio is also indicated for the prevention of Lyme disease infections by killing black-legged ticks.

Indications:

Credelio is indicated for the treatment and prevention of flea infestations caused by Ctenocephalides felis and the treatment and control of tick infestations caused by Amblyomma americanum (lone star tick), Dermacentor variabilis (American dog tick), Ixodes scapularis (black-legged tick), and Rhipicephalus sanguineus (brown dog tick). It is also indicated for the prevention of Lyme disease infections as a direct result of killing black-legged ticks.

Directions:

For dogs and puppies 8 weeks of age and older weighing 4.4 lbs or more. Administer orally once a month at a minimum dosage of 9 mg/lb (20 mg/kg). For full efficacy, give Credelio with food or within 30 minutes of a meal. Administer every month for continuous year-round flea and tick protection.

Storage:

Store at 59°–77°F (15°–25°C). Excursions are permitted between 41°–104°F (5°–40°C).

For veterinary use only. Keep out of reach of children. Keep Credelio in a secure location away from dogs, cats, and other animals to prevent accidental ingestion or overdose.

Lotilaner belongs to the isoxazoline class of medications, which has been associated with neurologic adverse reactions including tremors, ataxia, and seizures. Seizures have been reported in dogs receiving isoxazoline-class drugs, including dogs without a history of seizures. Use with caution in dogs with a history of seizures or neurologic disorders.
