Rx Albon® (Sulfadimethoxine) Bolus for Cattle – 50 Count
Albon® Boluses are a low-dose, long-acting sulfonamide antibiotic formulated for rapid absorption and sustained blood levels. Designed for the treatment of common bacterial infections in cattle, Albon® is effective against bovine respiratory disease (BRD), calf diphtheria, foot rot, and bacterial pneumonia associated with Pasteurella spp. and Fusobacterium necrophorum sensitive to sulfadimethoxine. Approved for use in lactating dairy cows, this convenient bolus provides controlled, safe treatment for cattle of all life stages.

Dosage & Administration:
- Initial dose: 25 mg/lb body weight; subsequent daily doses: 12.5 mg/lb body weight
- Treatment duration: Typically 3–4 days, not to exceed 5 consecutive days
- Dosage guide by weight:
- 200 lb: Day 1 – 1 bolus; Days 2–4 – ½ bolus daily
- 400 lb: Day 1 – 2 boluses; Days 2–4 – 1 bolus daily
- 600 lb: Day 1 – 3 boluses; Days 2–4 – 1½ boluses daily
- Administer orally with a balling gun (sold separately)

Storage:
Store at controlled room temperature: 15–30°C (59–86°F)
Withdrawal Periods:
- Milk: 60 hours after last treatment
- Meat: 7 days after last treatment
- Not established for preruminating calves

- Do not exceed recommended treatment duration of 5 days
- Balling gun sold separately
- Effective against Streptococcus spp., Staphylococcus spp., E. coli-Salmonella group, and other susceptible organisms
