Canine Distemper-Adenovirus Type 2-Parvovirus Vaccine

Recombitek C-3 (rDAP) is a combination vaccine for healthy dogs 6 weeks of age and older. It aids in the prevention of diseases caused by canine distemper virus, canine adenovirus types 1 and 2, and canine parvovirus. The vaccine combines a recombinant canarypox vector expressing canine distemper virus glycoproteins with modified-live adenovirus type 2 and parvovirus components.

  • Three-way protection: Aids in the prevention of disease associated with canine distemper, adenovirus types 1 and 2, and canine parvovirus.
  • For puppies and adult dogs: Intended for healthy dogs 6 weeks of age and older.
  • Recombinant technology: Contains a recombinant canarypox vector expressing canine distemper virus glycoproteins.
  • Package contents: 25 doses, each containing 1 mL when reconstituted.

Dosage & Administration:

  • Aseptically reconstitute the lyophilized vaccine with the accompanying sterile diluent and mix well.
  • Administer one 1 mL dose subcutaneously (SC) or intramuscularly (IM), using sterile equipment and aseptic technique.
  • A second 1 mL dose is indicated 2–3 weeks later according to the supplied directions.
  • Use the entire contents immediately after reconstitution. Do not store reconstituted vaccine.

Storage:

Store refrigerated at 35°F–46°F (2°C–8°C). Follow the manufacturer's instructions for handling and storage.

Cautions and Warnings:

Do not mix with other products. The vaccine has not been tested in pregnant animals; consult your veterinarian before use. Possible reactions include temporary lethargy, fever, injection-site pain or swelling, and hypersensitivity. In case of human exposure, contact a physician. Inactivate unused contents before disposal. Do not chemically sterilize needles used to administer the vaccine. For veterinary use only.
