Prestige 5 Equine Vaccine
Encephalomyelitis – Rhinopneumonitis – Influenza Vaccine, Eastern & Western, Killed Virus, Tetanus Toxoid
Prestige 5 is a combination vaccine for healthy horses 6 months of age and older. It helps protect against Eastern and Western Equine Encephalomyelitis, equine influenza virus (EIV), equine herpesvirus types 1 and 4 (EHV-1 and EHV-4), and tetanus.
Featuring updated equine influenza strains, including Florida '13 Clade 1, Richmond '07 Clade 2, and Kentucky '02, Prestige 5 provides protection against several important equine diseases. It has been shown to reduce virus shedding associated with equine influenza and EHV-1.

Indications:
For vaccination of healthy horses 6 months of age and older as an aid in the prevention of disease caused by Eastern and Western Encephalomyelitis viruses, equine influenza virus, EHV-1, EHV-4, and tetanus.
Directions:
For primary vaccination, aseptically administer 1 mL intramuscularly (IM), followed by a second 1 mL dose 3–4 weeks later. Annual revaccination has historically been recommended; consult your veterinarian regarding the appropriate booster schedule.
Foals nursing immune dams should be vaccinated when maternal antibody levels allow active immunization. Additional boosters may be needed in young horses.

Duration of Immunity:
A duration of immunity of at least 6 months has been demonstrated for equine influenza virus. Duration of immunity for Eastern and Western Encephalomyelitis, EHV-1, EHV-4, and tetanus has not been established.
Ingredients and Preservatives:
- Antibiotic: Gentamicin
- Preservative: Thimerosal
Storage:
Store at 2°C to 8°C (35°F to 46°F). Shake well before use. Use the entire contents when first opened. Do not mix with other products.
Cautions/Warnings:
For animal use only. This product has not been tested in pregnant animals. Do not vaccinate within 21 days before slaughter. Inject deep into the muscle only. Local injection-site reactions may occur and generally resolve within 3–7 days. Systemic reactions may also occur. If an allergic reaction occurs, administer epinephrine and seek veterinary assistance.
Use caution to avoid accidental self-injection, which can cause serious local reactions. In case of human exposure, contact a physician.
