These are in my opinion JUNK. I would never set these on any wood floor, other flammable substrates or straw. The electrical components are not sealed or potted, and the cover falls off quite easily. How UL approved this is beyond me.

I have five of these that I put out for my dogs, chickens, ducks and rabbits, love them,have had my first ones for three years now and now problems. just wish they had an option for a longer cord.
