I bought this for my dog who hates his nails trimmed and so he needs a vet visit with sedation. Vet uses this exact muzzle now instead of sedation and it is the right size. 4xl I bought for my 45 pound lab/Bassett hound mix with a long snout. Fits perfect

Muzzle is adjustable to permit perfect fit and is incredibly sturdy and wear resistant. Unfortunately, the neck strap is about 2 inches too short to permit closure and must be modified before use.

My basset hound is a barker. When we go for a walk, he barks at every dog he sees. I put this on and it works. If it isn't tight enough, he can get it off. I learned that right away. With it on, he can only make a muffled rrmmphhh sound.
