Durvet Liquid Wormer 2X (Pyrantel Pamoate) for Dogs

Durvet Liquid Wormer 2X is a palatable, easy-to-administer liquid dewormer for dogs and puppies that treats large roundworms and hookworms. Formulated with 4.54 mg of pyrantel pamoate per mL, it also helps prevent reinfestation of Toxocara canis in puppies, adult dogs, and lactating bitches after whelping. The convenient liquid formula can be administered without withholding food before treatment.

Parasites Controlled:

• Large roundworms (ascarids): Toxocara canis and Toxascaris leonina
• Hookworms: Ancylostoma caninum and Uncinaria stenocephala

Directions:

Shake well before use. Administer 1 full teaspoonful (5 mL) per 10 lb of body weight. Weigh your dog before treatment to ensure accurate dosing.

• Puppies: For maximum control and prevention of reinfestation, treat at 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, and 10 weeks of age.
• Lactating bitches: Treat 2–3 weeks after whelping.
• Adult dogs: Administer the recommended dose. Dogs kept in heavily contaminated environments may be treated monthly to help prevent T. canis reinfestation.
• Food: Withholding food before treatment is not necessary. If your dog refuses the dose, mix it with a small quantity of dog food to encourage consumption.
• Follow-up: Dogs under constant exposure to worm infestation should have a follow-up fecal examination within 2–4 weeks after the first treatment.
