K9 Advantix II for Dogs

K9 Advantix® II is a monthly topical treatment that kills and repels fleas, ticks, and mosquitoes while also controlling biting flies and chewing lice. Its three active ingredients—imidacloprid, permethrin, and pyriproxyfen—work together to kill existing fleas, help prevent flea reinfestation, and provide protection against multiple external parasites.

This easy-to-apply, fragrance-free formula kills fleas on dogs within 12 hours of initial application and kills newly arriving fleas within 2 hours. It remains effective for up to four weeks and becomes waterproof after 24 hours when used as directed.

Directions:

Apply the contents of one weight-appropriate tube topically as directed on the product label. Use only on dogs and puppies at least 7 weeks old and weighing 4 lb or more.

For best results, avoid bathing your dog for 48 hours before and after application. Swimming or frequent bathing may reduce the duration of protection. Follow the package instructions for application sites and retreatment intervals.

Cautions/Warnings:

For dogs only. Do not use on cats. Keep treated dogs away from cats until the application site is completely dry, and follow all label precautions to prevent cat exposure. Do not allow the product to contact the dog's eyes or mouth. Keep out of reach of children.

Monitor your dog after application. Possible adverse reactions include skin redness, scratching, discomfort, vomiting, or diarrhea. If signs persist or become severe, contact a veterinarian. Consult your veterinarian before use on debilitated, elderly, pregnant, or nursing dogs, or if your dog is taking medication. Individual sensitivities to pesticide products may occur.
