I was hoping this would work but the first day the hot wire got touched by a goat thereful pulled a bit on the wire and it bent the metal. when it rains it does arc but i think most of this stuff does without alot of plastic on it.

This was perfect for our double gates hung back to back. So far seems strong and should last! So much better than trying to twist wire around an insulator.

Vary handy. I use them to put a hotwire over panel gates to keep bulls from crowding it. I also use them in place of shutoffs when going through long sections of frequently falling trees, lots of sudden oak death here. Then I can easily loosen or open a s
