Focus Cat Vax 3 with Needle & Syringe

Feline Rhinotracheitis-Calici-Panleukopenia Vaccine

Modified Live Virus

Focus Cat Vax 3 is a single-dose cat vaccine that aids in protection against Feline Distemper (Panleukopenia), Calicivirus, and Rhinotracheitis. This modified live vaccine is ideal for adult cats and annual boosters, providing essential protection against common feline diseases. Made in the USA.

Features:

  • Protects against feline rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, and panleukopenia (feline distemper)
  • Modified live, single-dose vaccine
  • Includes needle and syringe
  • Subcutaneous administration

Directions & Dosage:

  1. Prepare the vaccine: Open the syringe by twisting or tapping the cap against a hard surface to break the heat weld.
  2. Rehydrate: Using aseptic technique, add the supplied 1 mL of sterile diluent to the vaccine cake. Shake well.
  3. Fill the syringe: Withdraw the entire reconstituted vaccine into the syringe.
  4. Choose an injection site: Lift the loose skin behind the neck or behind the right hind leg.
  5. Check for blood: Before injecting, pull back slightly on the syringe plunger. If blood enters the syringe freely, choose a different injection site.
  6. Administer: Inject the entire 1 mL dose subcutaneously using aseptic technique. Do not inject directly into a blood vessel.

Vaccination Schedule:

  • Healthy cats should receive 2 doses, 3 to 4 weeks apart.
  • For cats younger than 16 weeks of age, the final dose should be given no earlier than 16 weeks of age.
  • Maternal antibodies can interfere with the development of active immunity, so additional booster vaccinations may be needed, particularly in young cats.
  • Annual revaccination with a single dose has historically been recommended; however, the need for this booster has not been established.
  • Consult your veterinarian for recommendations on revaccination frequency and annual booster vaccinations.

Storage:

Store in the dark at 35–46°F (2–8°C). Do not freeze. Do not mix with other products unless specifically directed on the label.

Cautions/Warnings:

Do not vaccinate pregnant queens. In case of an anaphylactoid reaction, administer epinephrine. In case of human exposure, contact a physician. Inactivate unused vaccine contents before disposal. Neomycin and polymyxin B are added as preservatives.
