TruCan DAPPi Vaccine (formerly Duramune Max 5)

Distemper, Adenovirus Type 2, Parainfluenza, Parvovirus Vaccine (MLV)

TruCan DAPPi, formerly Duramune Max 5, is a modified-live virus (MLV) combination vaccine for healthy dogs 6 weeks of age and older. It helps protect against canine distemper, infectious canine hepatitis, canine adenovirus type 2, canine parainfluenza, and canine parvovirus. The vaccine contains a CPV-2b strain that has been demonstrated effective against disease caused by CPV-2c in puppies with maternal antibodies.

Directions:

Aseptically rehydrate TruCan DAPPi with the sterile diluent supplied. Administer one 1 mL dose either subcutaneously (SQ) or intramuscularly (IM).

  • Puppies: Begin primary vaccination at 6 weeks of age and administer additional doses every 2 to 3 weeks until at least 12 weeks of age. Maternal antibodies may interfere with the development of active immunity, so additional boosters may be required in young dogs.
  • Dogs over 12 weeks: Initially administer one dose, followed by a second dose 2 to 3 weeks later.

Annual revaccination with a single dose has historically been recommended for this product; however, the need for this booster has not been established. Consult your veterinarian for recommendations regarding revaccination frequency.

Available Size:

25 single-dose vials. Sterile diluent is supplied. Needles and syringes are NOT included.

Storage:

Store in the dark at 35°F to 46°F (2°C to 8°C). Do not freeze. Shake well. Do not mix with other products except as specified on the label.

Cautions/Warnings:

This product has not been tested in pregnant animals. In the event of an anaphylactoid reaction, administer epinephrine. Inactivate all unused contents before disposal.
