Clostridium Perfringens Antitoxin for Cattle, Sheep, Goats & Swine

Clostridium Perfringens Antitoxin is a multivalent antitoxin used as an aid in the temporary prevention or treatment of clostridial enterotoxemia. It provides passive protection against *Clostridium perfringens* Types B, C, and D in cattle, sheep, and goats, and Type C in swine. Passive immunity can provide protection for approximately 21 days, making this product particularly useful for young animals shortly after birth or when temporary protection is needed.

Directions:

Shake well before use. For prevention, administer the following doses subcutaneously:

• Suckling lambs, goats, and pigs: 5 mL
• Suckling calves: 10 mL
• Feeder lambs and pigs: 10 mL
• Feeder calves and cattle: 25 mL

For treatment, administer double the preventive dose. A more rapid effect may be achieved through intravenous administration, with repeat doses as often as every 12 hours when appropriate.

For young animals, administer subcutaneously as soon as possible after birth for better protection. Passive immunity lasts for approximately 21 days.

Withdrawal Period:

Do not use within 21 days before slaughter.

Preservatives:

Contains phenol and thimerosal as preservatives.

Storage:

Store at 2°C to 8°C (35°F to 46°F). Do not freeze. Use the entire contents when first opened.

Cautions/Warnings:

This product was licensed prior to the requirement to establish a minimum age for use. Safety in pregnant animals is unknown. Do not use in horses. Do not mix with other products.

Anaphylactoid reactions may occur following administration of products of this nature. If a reaction occurs, administer epinephrine (adrenalin) or equivalent treatment as appropriate.
