CapShield Maxx Flavored Tabs for Cats, 7-15 lbs

I apppreciate the ease of putting it in there food, however they seem to be able to smell the pill and fail to eat all the food leaving the pill not fully being ingested. The pill is fully crushed. Even though I use a very smelly fish food from Solid Gold. These are my cats outside. what do you suggest? Some I can put the topical on but the rest run when they see me coming with the flea drop container,
