Bovilis Piliguard® Pinkeye

Moraxella Bovis Bacterin

Bovilis Piliguard® Pinkeye is an oil-emulsion bacterin vaccine for healthy cattle. It contains three strains of Moraxella bovis to help protect against pinkeye.

Benefits:

• Contains three strains of Moraxella bovis: EPP63, FLA64, and SAH38
• For use in healthy beef and dairy cattle
• Can be administered by intramuscular (IM) or subcutaneous (SQ) injection

Protects Against:

• Pinkeye caused by Moraxella bovis

Directions:

• Shake well before use.
• Allow vaccine to reach room temperature before administration, if desired.
• Administer aseptically in the neck by IM or SQ injection.
• Use the entire contents when first opened. Do not mix with other products.

Dosage & Vaccination Schedule:

• Dosage: 2 mL per animal.
• Initial Vaccination: Administer one dose 3–6 weeks before pinkeye season.
• Revaccination: Give an annual booster.

Available Package Sizes:

• 10 doses – 20 mL vial
• 50 doses – 100 mL vial

Note: Needles and syringes are not included.

Withdrawal Period:

Do not vaccinate cattle within 60 days before slaughter.

Precautions:

Not approved for use in sheep or goats. Has not been tested in pregnant animals. Temporary injection-site reactions may occur. Granulomas may persist for several weeks. This oil-emulsion vaccine can cause serious local reactions if accidentally injected into a person. Use caution to avoid self-injection. If an allergic reaction occurs, treat with epinephrine. In case of accidental human exposure, contact a physician. Contains gentamicin and formaldehyde. For animal use only.

Storage:

Store refrigerated at 2°–8°C (35°–46°F). Do not freeze.
