Modified live virus BVD Types 1 & 2, IBR, PI3, BRSV; liquid bacterin Lepto 5.

Bovi-Shield Gold® FP® 5 L5 is a combination modified-live virus (MLV) and liquid bacterin vaccine for healthy breeding cows and heifers. It helps protect against major respiratory and reproductive diseases caused by IBR, BVD Types 1 and 2 (including Type 1b), PI3 and BRSV, along with five *Leptospira* serovars. A single 2 mL dose is administered approximately one month before breeding or introduction into the herd.

Directions:

Aseptically rehydrate the freeze-dried vaccine with the accompanying liquid bacterin. Mix well and administer 2 mL intramuscularly (IM), preferably in the neck muscle in accordance with Beef Quality Assurance guidelines. Use sterilized syringes and needles. Do not use chemically sterilized equipment, as disinfectant residue may inactivate the vaccine.

Dosage & Vaccination Schedule:

• Primary Vaccination: Administer one 2 mL dose to healthy breeding cows and heifers approximately 1 month before breeding or being added to the herd.
• Revaccination: Annual revaccination is recommended. Consult your veterinarian for the appropriate schedule.
• Pregnant Cows: May be vaccinated ONLY if previously vaccinated according to label directions with a Bovi-Shield Gold FP or PregGuard Gold FP vaccine within the past 12 months.
• Calves Nursing Pregnant Cows: May be vaccinated ONLY if their dams meet the same pre-breeding vaccination requirements.

Withdrawal Period:

Do not vaccinate within 21 days before slaughter.

Precautions:

• For use in healthy cattle. Do not use in pregnant cows UNLESS they were vaccinated according to label directions with a Bovi-Shield Gold FP or PregGuard Gold FP product within the past 12 months.
• For the specified pregnancy-use conditions, heifers must receive at least two doses of a Bovi-Shield Gold FP or PregGuard Gold FP product, with the second dose administered approximately 30 days before breeding.
• Do not vaccinate calves nursing pregnant cows  UNLESS their dams meet the required vaccination history.
• Fetal health risks associated with MLV vaccination of pregnant animals cannot be unequivocally determined by clinical trials conducted for licensure. Discuss vaccination plans with a veterinarian.
• Use entire contents when first opened.
• Inactivate unused contents before disposal.
• Contains gentamicin and thimerosal as preservatives.

Storage:

Store at 35–46°F (2–8°C), protected from direct sunlight and prolonged exposure to higher temperatures. Do not freeze.
