Absorbine Veterinary Liniment Liquid – Topical Analgesic & Antiseptic for Dogs, Horses, and Livestock

For over 120 years, Absorbine Veterinary Liniment has been The Horse World’s Most Trusted Name® and one of the world's best-selling horse liniments.

First developed in 1892, Absorbine Veterinary Liniment is a topical analgesic and antiseptic liquid formulated to provide fast relief from sore, aching muscles, joint pain, and arthritis discomfort. It delivers penetrating warmth to overworked or strained muscles and joints by stimulating circulation. The antiseptic formula helps prevent infection while supporting the healing of minor cuts and relieving insect bites. Ideal for horses, livestock, and dogs. Made in the USA.

  • Delivers deep penetrating heat to soothe arthritis-related pain and tissue swelling
  • Increases circulation to muscles during warm-up and recovery
  • Clinically proven to enhance performance
  • Topical analgesic for muscles, tendons, ligaments, and joints
  • Antiseptic for minor cuts, abrasions, and insect bites

How It Works

  • Menthol (1.27%): Provides warming topical analgesic relief and stimulates circulation
  • Chloroxylenol (0.50%): Antiseptic agent that helps kill germs on contact
  • Iodine (0.02%): Supports antibacterial and antifungal action
  • Herbal Oils & Extracts: Calendula, echinacea, and wormwood help condition the skin

Directions for Use

  • Legs & Joints: Apply to sore areas for relief of temporary muscular and joint soreness, swelling, and stiffness. May be applied two or more times daily.
  • Arthritis: Rub on stiff and sore joints before and after turnout to increase comfort. Deep penetrating heat helps soothe pain and swelling of tissues due to arthritis.
  • Muscle Soreness: Apply to desired areas to relieve pain and stiffness. Repeat as needed.
  • Warm-Up: A rubdown increases circulation to muscles and helps prepare the body for activity.
  • Body Wash: Mix 4 oz. liniment and 8 oz. vinegar with 24 oz. water to create a cooling body wash. Helps remove sweat and dirt while supporting skin hygiene.
  • Post-Workout: Apply after exercise to help increase blood flow to affected areas and reduce soreness, stiffness, and swelling.
  • Hoof Disinfectant: Apply once weekly to help prevent bacterial and fungal infections. May be used daily for hoof conditions such as abscesses, cracks, delamination, thrush, and white line disease. Penetrates the porous hoof sole and frog to disinfect.
  • Skin Infections: Apply to the affected area three times weekly to clean and manage bacterial skin conditions including rain rot, scratches, summer itch, and tail itch.

If you rub, don’t wrap.
