Vaccine Shipping & Handling: Why It Matters

At Jeffers, we take the integrity of vaccines seriously. That’s why every vaccine order is carefully stored, packed, and shipped with strict process controls to ensure its safety and effectiveness.  Our storage coolers are monitored 24/7 to ensure a consistent and stable temperature environment.

❄️ Temperature-Sensitive Packing

We use high-quality insulated soft-pack envelopes, Styrofoam coolers, soft-side coolers and ice packs designed to maintain stable temperatures during transit. Product integrity is of the utmost importance. 

Standard default packaging is with 1 ice pack in an insulated soft-pack envelope.

Upgraded coolers are available (see items XZS1, XZS2, Z1XP) as well as additional ice packs (see item Z1EI).

💡 If your ice pack is melted upon arrival, don’t worry! That means it has done its job of absorbing heat and keeping your vaccine at the proper temperature.

🚚 Why We Charge for Vaccine Shipping

Shipping vaccines properly isn’t cheap—but it’s necessary.  If you see websites offering “free” or low-to-no-cost vaccine shipping (especially with a free cooler included), it’s worth asking:

• Are they cutting corners?
• Are they storing vaccines correctly before shipping?
• Where are their vaccines coming from?

📆 Vaccine Shipping Schedule & Guidelines

• Next Day Air: Orders ship Monday - Thursday (✅Recommended by most manufacturers)
• Ground: Orders ship Monday - Wednesday (Use with caution, especially in warm weather or the further away from Dothan, AL you are located)
• Vaccines are shipped during the last pickup of the day to ensure they stay in our temperature-controlled facility as long as possible before transit.

📦 Keeping You Informed About Delivery

We know how important it is to receive your vaccines on time. If you’ve provided your email address at checkout or with one of our representatives, we’ll keep you updated every step of the way—from order confirmation to transit updates and final delivery notification. You'll always know exactly when to expect your order, giving you peace of mind and ensuring your vaccines arrive safely.

• Order Confirmation – You’ll receive an email once your order is placed.
• Transit Updates – Get notified when your order is on the way.
• Final Delivery Notification – Know exactly when your vaccines will arrive so you can store them properly as soon as they’re delivered

💡 Plan ahead! Be available to receive your vaccines or have them delivered to a trusted location (friend, neighbor, or workplace) where they can be refrigerated immediately.

🔄 No Returns—For Your Animal’s Safety

Once a vaccine leaves our carefully monitored environment, there’s no way to verify if it has been stored correctly. That’s why, for the safety of all pets, we do not accept returns on vaccines. Be cautious of any retailer that does.
