Directions:

Missed dosage: If a dose is missed, skip the missed dose and return to the regular schedule. Do not give two doses at once. Overdose/acute toxicity: Overdose may cause lethargy, increased heart rate, vomiting, and hypotension (low blood pressure). Seek immediate veterinary care if an overdose is suspected.

Side effects may include vomiting, diarrhea, anorexia, cough, weakness, hypotension, kidney dysfunction, and low potassium levels. Contraindicated for pets with previous sensitivity to ACE inhibitors. Use with caution in pets with renal insufficiency or blood cell abnormalities. Monitor closely in pets with severe congestive heart failure.

Drug interactions: Insulin, oral antidiabetic medications, diuretics (e.g., furosemide, spironolactone), lithium, medications for lowering blood pressure, NSAIDs, and potassium supplements may interact with lisinopril. Discuss all medications and interactions with your veterinarian.

Precaution: Avoid use in pets with previous ACE inhibitor sensitivities, kidney disease, low sodium, or blood cell changes. Not recommended for pregnant animals and should be used with caution in lactating animals.
