International Helmet Awareness Day 2017
International Helmet Awareness Day 2017 takes place Saturday, Sept. 16 and Sunday, Sept. 17.
For the first time ever, International Helmet Awareness Day is a two-day event! This year, Jeffers will be offering up to 50% off new riding helmets. Jeffers offers helmets for both English and Western riding disciplines. Choose from famous brands like Troxel, Ovation, Tipperary, and One K. Even the Resistol RideSafe Black Felt Western Hat/Helmet is included, as is the Fallon Taylor line from Troxel.
Please be advised that this promotion is not inclusive of all helmets on our website. Some exclusions apply.
What Is International Helmet Awareness Day?
In 2010, Riders4Helmets hosted the first national event designed to educate equestrians on the benefits of wearing a properly fitting, secured, and certified helmet. The event brought over 300 U.S.-based retailers and eight helmet manufacturers together to help educate their customers on topics such as the correct helmet fit and why wearing a helmet is important.
Now in its eighth year, International Helmet Awareness Day is expanding into a weekend-long affair. Since the first national event, Riders4Helmets has expanded the event globally. International Helmet Awareness Day 2016 received support from 16 helmet manufacturers and equestrian retailers in 16 countries.¹
