Therapeutic boots can be used hot or cold to treat injury and speed up recovery after strenuous exercise, minimize swelling and inflammation, relieve, pain, relax tight muscles, encourage blood flow to speed up healing and help with arthritic conditions.
Gel packs can be heated in hot water or the microwave and cooled in water or in the freezer.
The boot is ergonomically designed for comfort and specifically shaped to be used on the knees, hocks or fetlocks. Inner pockets keep gel packs secure.
Sold in pairs.
Color: Black.
Pros: These are well made, affordable, and I like that they can be used for the different joints. Cons: They don't stay cold very long, no more than 20 minutes max. The gel packs are awkward to get in and out, so I just freeze the whole boot.
There are 2 small cold packs for these that you have to stuff in pockets. I wish they were a tad bigger and velcro'd on like the tendon ice boots. One boot only lasts on one hock for 10-15 minutes. They fit well and stay on!
I've used these a couple times already and I'm loving the results! I've used them on my mares hocks after barrel racing and haven't noticed any stiffness out of the ordinary. Very pleased with these, money well spent!
