TiaGard® 12.5% Liquid Concentrate

TiaGard® 12.5% is a liquid concentrate containing 12.5% tiamulin hydrogen fumarate for use in medicated drinking water for swine. It is indicated for the treatment of swine dysentery associated with Brachyspira hyodysenteriae susceptible to tiamulin and swine pneumonia due to Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae susceptible to tiamulin. Treatment is administered through drinking water for five consecutive days.

Tiamulin is readily absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract and can be detected in the blood within 30 minutes after dosing. TiaGard 12.5% provides a convenient way to administer treatment through drinking water, with the medicated water serving as the only source of drinking water during the five-day treatment period.
