Rx Terramycin® Scour Tablets, 100 ct
Terramycin® Scour Tablets are a prescription oral antibiotic formulated to treat and control common bacterial infections in beef and dairy calves. Each tablet contains 250 mg of oxytetracycline HCl, a broad-spectrum antibiotic proven effective against oxytetracycline-susceptible organisms that cause scours and respiratory disease.
Terramycin® Scour Tablets are indicated for the treatment and control of bacterial enteritis (scours) caused by Salmonella typhimurium and Escherichia coli, as well as bacterial pneumonia (shipping fever, pasteurellosis) caused by Pasteurella multocida. When used as directed, most calves show noticeable improvement within 24–48 hours.
Indications:
- Bacterial enteritis (scours) caused by Salmonella and E. coli
- Bacterial pneumonia (shipping fever complex, pasteurellosis)
- For use in beef and non-lactating dairy calves
Directions:

For Treatment: Administer 2 tablets per 100 lb of body weight orally every 12 hours (10 mg/lb of body weight daily in divided doses).

For Control: Administer 1 tablet per 100 lb of body weight orally every 12 hours (5 mg/lb of body weight daily in divided doses).
Continue dosing until the calf returns to normal and for 24–48 hours after symptoms have subsided. Treatment should not exceed 4 consecutive days.

Cautions & Warnings:
Not for use in lactating dairy cattle. Improvement should be observed within 24–48 hours; if improvement does not occur, diagnosis and treatment should be reevaluated. It is recommended that diagnosis and treatment be carried out by a veterinarian. Proper housing, sanitation, hydration, and nutrition are essential for recovery.
