I can't say enough good things about Jeffers & the difference they have made in our lives! My dog has very severe epilepsy & needs this medication twice daily. With Jeffers auto-ship, everything is perfectly seamless & I never have to worry about a lapse in her treatment... Something I didn't even imagine possible a few months ago!

Before Jeffers, I was filling this script at the local big chain pharmacies & it was a constant source of stress, not to mention putting our baby girl's health in jeopardy. It's almost unbelievable to think something that caused us so much stress & panic every month has suddenly become totally carefree, all thanks to the superior service at Jeffers!

Phenobarbital is a controlled substance, but one of the least regulated (Schedule IV). Federal & NY state laws dictate that a script for a 30-day supply can have 6 months of refills on it & refills are permitted up to a week early. However, big chain pharmacies - or at least the ones near me - take it upon themselves to implement significantly stricter regulations. They will not process a refill even a day early, they make us wait the full 30 days, at which point we are totally out of medication. Moreover, they won't even check their inventory before that 30th day to make sure it's in stock - even when I specifically call ahead. I would say that ~50% of the time, we'd get to that 30th day & be told it was out of stock & needs to be ordered. It would be delayed for 3-5 days regularly, which could be a death sentence for our sweet little pup! And because it's controlled, we couldn't transfer refills to another pharmacy location without a new paper script.

There was a constant worry that we would run out of pills. Then we would either have to rush to the vet for a new paper script & frantically track down a pharmacy with inventory, or go to the emergency vet (at great expense) to get an interim supply. And even talking to the local pharmacists about the situation month after month, they were not willing to make any accommodation to help us avoid a crisis.

I couldn't stand it anymore & started looking for online pet pharmacies that could ship this particular medicine to my location, and that's how I discovered Jeffers! And thank goodness for that! My interactions with customer service have been so lovely & helpful, the medication is exactly what my pup needs, no inventory concerns, and the order shows up at our door like clockwork each month without even having to think about it. I didn't think this kind of pharmacy experience was possible; I thought I was just going to have to keep living in that perpetual stress. But Jeffer's came to our rescue & it's been like a dream!
