Best gate latch out there. Less likely to freeze with icy weather. Simple one had operation easy from horseback.
Use a Locking Nut or ring to prevent nut and bolt parting.

These gate latches work great. Just drop it thru the eye and the gate is secured. Easy to remove because all you need to do is move the ring--other latches are spring loaded and much more difficult to open
