I purchase two heat lamps with halogen bulb turned off because of heat outside went to turn back on for night heat and it would not come back on high or lower heat neither less than two weeks old just wondering how long the bulb supposed to last.

I was hoping it was just a fluke, but it wasn't. As long as the light was on, it worked great, as soon as I turned it off and turn it on later, the bulb was shot, 3 bulbs in a week.

I hoped the bulbs would last longer than they do. I use them to warm goat kids and they do get bumped around . the bulbs just don't hold up well to the abuse.

I have used this heat lamp for puppies for the past 10 years and still have the very first one that I purchased. I love it! Keeps the pups warm and I love the fact that you have two levels of heat. It is the best lamp I have ever used.
