Jeffers Hand Sheep Shears, 6.5" blades

The Jeffers Hand Sheep Shears are designed for manually shearing the wool or fleece from sheep and other similar animals. Classically designed with twin blades that open after each cut. Provides a controlled and efficient way to remove the wool without causing harm to the animal. Hand shearing is generally considered to be less stressful for the animals compared to machine shearing. Blades are 6½"L with an overall length of 14"L. Full polished for general shearing and blocking.

Handle colors may vary from picture.


Great for shearing alpacas and llamas.


Can also be used for trimming plants and grass and for topping onions during harvest.

Please note!

To use hand shears (aka 'blade shears') you must also have a sharpening stone and sharpen the shears before you use them - and again as needed. That is normal for this type of equipment!
They will take a sharper edge than the stainless steel kitchen kni

Worked Great!

I purchased four of these sheers and one $5 knife sharpener. At the end of 16 pet sheep all four sheers were still working very well. However, make sure you clean them and store them properly after each use or they will rust quikly and badly.

Dull, poor quality

Not pleased with these, but I guess you get what you pay for... I should have spent an extra $20 to get some nice shears that are actually sharp.
