Cleaning is simple, though the bottle is not dishwasher safe. It can be thoroughly sterilized. To use, fill the bottle completely, check the gasket, and screw on the cap tightly. Install the bottle with the included spring attachment, ensuring the tube rests on a horizontal cage bar or above the bird's perch. Touch the ball at the end of the tube to release water and create a vacuum. Some dripping is normal.
