VetScan Canine Heartworm Rapid Test Kit
The VetScan Canine Heartworm Rapid Test provides a quick and reliable way to detect Dirofilaria immitis, the parasite responsible for heartworm disease in dogs and cats. This visual, qualitative test uses a specific immunochromatographic assay to identify heartworm antigens in whole blood, serum, or plasma, at the point of care.
DIRECTIONS:
- Add 1 drop of anticoagulated whole blood, serum, or plasma to the sample well.
- Add 2 drops of the provided chase buffer to the sample well.
- Read results at 10 minutes, either manually or with the VETSCAN VUE.
- A positive result is indicated by two colored lines (one at the Test area and one at the Control area).

- If no line appears at the Control area, the test is invalid.
