These things are terrible! They last for about one good trimming and then the sharpness is gone, and by that time, it would be so dull it couldn't even cut through warmed up butter! I have a fairly large herd of goats, so I need something productive that
like most hoof shears, they need to be re-sharpened after every 10 head or so. They work great.
And we are ordering another pair after 12 years and hundreds of hooves trimmed on sheep, goats, llamas, and alpacas each year. First pair still works fine, but sometimes it is nice to have a backup pair so we don't have to stop to sharpen in the middle o
I lost my Shear magic trimmers and picked up a pair of these at a farm supply store. These things are clunky, dull, and by the time you get through one goat they've completely lost their edge.
These things are a joke. Do yourself a favor and get the oran
I have been known to go through 2-3 sets of these per season...... I trim 2 Boer goat herds plus my own Nubians. The blades come loose from each other. After about 8-10 trims, I have to start sharpening after about every 5 head.
