Zycortal Suspension, 25 mg/mL, 4 mL
Zycortal Suspension (desoxycorticosterone pivalate injectable suspension) is a subcutaneous injectable used as a replacement therapy for mineralocorticoid deficiency in dogs with primary hypoadrenocorticism (Addison’s disease).
Canine Addison's disease, also known as hydroadrenocorticism, negatively impacts a dog's adrenal glands, causing them to experience difficulty producing the hormones and chemicals necessary to help regulate metabolism, blood pressure, and stress response.
If untreated, Addison's disease in dogs has the potential to produce life-threatening effects such as hypotensive shock and prerenal azotemia. Treatment with Zycortal Suspension helps lower the risk of your dog suffering from these potentially lethal conditions. Zycortal also helps build sodium absorption and potassium excretion as well as increasing extracellular fluid. This results in expanded blood volume and improved cardiac output.
Your veterinarian will prescribe the proper dosage for your pet. Be sure to follow their instructions down to the last detail.
All prescription items are Non-Refundable and Non-Returnable.
