Vet-Kem Flea and Tick Shampoo For Dogs and Cats

Vet-Kem Flea and Tick Shampoo for Dogs and Cats is a concentrated lathering shampoo enriched with oatmeal, coconut extract, lanolin, and aloe to leave your pet's coat soft, shiny, and manageable. This shampoo effectively removes loose dandruff, dirt, and scales. An insect growth regulator in the formula provides 28 days of control over pre-adult fleas, preventing them from becoming biting adults.

Directions for Use:

• Can be used full strength or diluted with 2 parts water.
• Thoroughly wet the animal with warm water. Avoid applying shampoo around the eyes.
• Use 1 1/3 tablespoons of shampoo for each 5 lbs of your pet’s weight.
• Apply shampoo along the back and work into the coat from head to tail, including the head, neck, legs, and feet.
• Work lather into the coat for 3 to 5 minutes.
• Rinse thoroughly with warm water. For extremely dirty or scaly pets, repeat the process.
• Repeat every 7 to 10 days if necessary for adult flea relief. Flea egg hatch inhibition lasts for 28 days.

Cautions/Warnings:

Humans: Harmful if absorbed through the skin. Causes moderate eye irritation. Avoid contact with eyes, skin, or clothing. Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water after handling and before eating, drinking, chewing gum, using tobacco, or using the toilet. Remove and wash contaminated clothing before reuse.

Domestic Animals: Do not apply to pets (puppies or kittens) less than 12 weeks old.

Environmental Hazards: Toxic to aquatic organisms, including fish and invertebrates. Drift and runoff may be hazardous to aquatic organisms in water adjacent to treated areas. Highly toxic to bees exposed to direct treatment on blooming crops or weeds. Avoid application to water or areas where surface water is present. Do not contaminate water when disposing of equipment wash waters or rinsate. Follow additional precautions and requirements as per the directions for use.
