The Sinking Tank De-icer operates at the bottom of the tank where it is less likely to be disturbed by livestock, protecting both the equipment and animals. The strong, durable, stainless steel heating element is thermostatically controlled for efficient operation. Rugged and weather-resistant construction handles the elements. The thermostatic control, coupled with thermal feedback, protects the unit from overheating. The thermostat is positioned above the heating element to ensure safety in low-water conditions. Each de-icer comes complete with a galvanized wire guard for use in plastic tanks. Recommended for use in 100-300 gallons of water. 6-foot cord with durable anti-rub protector. LOCKNDRY compatible.
1500 Watts, 120 Volts, 60 Hz. cULus Listed. One year manufacturer warranty.
Recommended for use in 100-300 gallons of water.
So glad I had purchased this heater in advance for the winter, not knowing the artic blast would be so bad. Worked fantastic with sub-freezing temperatures at keeping water thawed for the animals!! Lowest with wind chill was -21°
I just bought one of these heaters from Jeffers, but I’ve been using one that I bought last year from TSC that cost $10.00 more. It’s a good heater; keeps the water temperature above 40* and sits at the bottom of the tank in its cage where it can’t burn
If you have a big plastic water trough and can put it near a power source, this de-icer works great. It's an absolute luxury to never have to break ice and it is so very important for your horses to have a totally ice free tank. They will drink a lot more
I purchased this heater after finding my horses water trough iced over 1.5 inches thick). I had a heater in there from last year that had obviously quit working through the night. I bought this stuff and amazing price and it has donever it's job well!! We
I have purchased 2 of these tank heaters. I live in Utah where the temperatures are ranging from -20+ degrees to 30 degrees and extremely pleased with how they keep my 70 and 300 gallon water tanks free of ice!
