Full Cheek Horse Snaffle Bit

Cheeks extend up and down from mouthpiece, preventing the bit from slipping sideways through the mouth and exerting lateral control for turns.

Full Cheek Snaffle Bit Key Features:

  • For safety, "keepers" should be used.
  • Keepers make it less easy for the horse to catch the upper cheek on an obstruction.
  • These bits fix the bit in the mouth and tend to concentrate pressure on the bars and tongue.
  • To be used with item # RI-L6, leather bit loops.

I have been using this Snaffle Bit for a few years and I like it-it seems to do the job and control the horse. I am still in training with this bit. Thanks

Great Bit, Not My Favorite

This is a great bit, however, was not a favorite for my Thoroughbred/QH cross when switching from a regular snaffle. The quality of this bit is high though, and I will try it on other horses in the future to see if I can get some more use out of it.
