Your Cat will Love a Heated Kitty House

You might have noticed how much your cat loves warm places. And there's a reason for that, according to K&H, the largest dedicated manufacturer of heated pet products in the U.S.

"First, a cat’s natural body temperature is 102° F, which is significantly warmer than our body temperature of 98.6° F. Second, cats have a lower sensitivity to heat than humans. Our bodies can sense pain caused by heat of 112° or greater. However, cats can only sense pain from heat greater than 126° F. Lastly, cats have fewer points at which they can sense heat. The heat sensors they do have are concentrated in their face, making this area especially receptive to heat," explains the official K&H website. What they don't mention is how much cats also like to go inside little nooks and crannies. So we think you'd be hard-pressed to find a cat that didn't love a heated kitty house.

K&H Outdoor Heated Kitty House

K&H Outdoor Heated Kitty House

The K&H Outdoor Heated Kitty House is waterproof -- made with vinyl-backed 600 denier nylon -- and designed to protect against rain, snow, and wind. It's the perfect size for one or two cats and uses 20 watts of power. It has two exits, front and back, so the cat has an escape route if needed. Each door is sheltered by the overhanging roof to keep the inside dry and warm. It comes with a small Kitty Lectro-Soft heated pad, and the hook-and-loop wall fasteners and zippered roof make it easy to put together without tools.

Need something bigger, for a whole family of cats? The K&H Heated A-Frame Kitty House can nicely accommodate two to four cats and uses 40 watts of power. It is also waterproof with a protective overhanging roof and two exits. It also features tool-free hook-and-loop construction and comes with a medium-sized Kitty Lectro-Soft heated pad.

Both of these heated kitty houses are perfect for your outdoor pets or for feral cats, so your only choice is how many cats you want to house.

What you don't have to worry about is whether it will be used or appreciated... there is no doubt that it will.
