Combat Horn Flies Easily with VetGun
Is it a fun game, a precision tool, or both? VetGun certainly has elements of both, but its function is to rid your cattle of horn flies in the fastest, simplest and most cost-effective way possible. Steve Schram, CEO of AgriLabs and Randy Tosh, VP of Business Development for product developer SmartVet, talk about how the VetGun allows beef cattle producers to more easily treat their herds with insecticide, and demonstrate how it works:
There are many benefits to using a VetGun to treat your cattle. You don't need to confine your herd, hire extra labor, deal with messy pour-on or spray solutions, or stress out yourself or your animals. You don't even have to touch the insecticide capsules. And you can apply the treatment when it is convenient for you. Once the insecticide has been applied it lasts for about 4 weeks. For best fly control use in conjunction with your regular management including insecticidal ear tags, and pour-ons.
The patented VetCaps burst on contact to distribute the insecticide. So you just aim at your cattle's hide from a safe distance of 15 to 30 feet, and fire the VetGun. You can treat your animals from a truck or ATV, on horseback or on foot while the cattle are feeding or milling around. Jeffers Livestock carries the entire VetGun + AiM-L VetCap System. The CO2 canisters and the VetCap doses are available in different sizes to fit your needs, If you prefer you can also choose the all-in-one Starter VetGun Kit or Producer VetGun Kit. _________________________________________________________________
