Tubbease Hoof Sock

Tubbease was developed by a farrier trying to solve the problem of poulticing hoove without "stewing" them, as what happened with most regular "sealed" boots that he used. This rubber-dipped sock breathes while still protecting and soaking the damaged hoof. This breathability prevents the hoof from going soft during the treatment period. The soft conforming sock reduces the risk of skin chaffing. Made with a Velcro fastener for easy application and re-use.

Uses for the Hoof Sock:

  • abscesses
  • thrush
  • seedy toe
  • thin sole
  • injuries
  • cracks
  • deterioration

EVA Sole Pad (sold separately) helps to relieve the pain of sore feet and extends the life of the Tubbease socks.

Sizing Chart:

Size    Diameter
Small/Pink    4.25"
Medium/Red    5.5"
Large/Blue    6"
X-Large/Orange    6.5"

The above sizes are approximate and are the maximum internal diameter of Tubbease base.

Not for soaking

I assumed the "sock" part would be neoprene, but it's just a stretchy fabric and leaks. Maybe it works with a dry poultice, but if you're soaking in a liquid, it'll all run out as soon as your horse rests its sore hoof up on the toe. And like other review

I waited a Long Time for it to come in stock from a Back Order Very Round Shaped, goes on easily, May be great for some but it also came off of my old girl easily. I Love the Natural Hoof Shoe boots they fit and stay on much better for my horse - It was

Didn't work for me.

I wanted something for a dry poultice that could be left on. This did not fit the bill. However, if you are looking for a soaking device this may work. Tubbease is round like a plate which makes it easy to apply to the hoof but cumbersome once in plac
